Claussell\u003cbr\u003ecombines the original classic funk elements with Latino percussion\u003cbr\u003eand samba-styled trumpets.\u003cbr\u003eFirst up is his 'Sacred Rhythm Version’, which lifts the tempo and\u003cbr\u003eloops a section of the original's percussion. Keeping the trumpets,\u003cbr\u003eand soulful vocal phrases, he adds a DJ-friendly kick drum and\u003cbr\u003eshows off his improvisation skills with a vibrant synth line.\u003cbr\u003eOn the flip, he strips back some of the drums and horns and focuses\u003cbr\u003eon the bassline with the 'Spanish Harlem Dub,' which is a moody\u003cbr\u003erework utilising some funk-infused organ chords.\u003cbr\u003eOn the original track Joe says: \"\"I can vividly recall the very first time\u003cbr\u003eI heard Spanish Hustle blasting through my brother Jackie’s stereo\u003cbr\u003esystem.
