On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, Deep Purple's album "Machine Head" is now being released in a deluxe box edition in 1LP+3CD+Blu Ray format.
Machine Head is one of the most iconic rock albums of all time, featuring timeless classics of the genre with songs like "Smoke On The Water," "Highway Star," and "Space Truckin'." The anniversary edition also includes a completely new remix of the original album, which has been tastefully remixed by Dweezil Zappa. Also included is a completely new remastering of the original tapes on vinyl and CD, as well as rare and unreleased live recordings from 1971 (Montreux) and 1972 (In Concert). The additionally included Blu Ray Disc contains long-defunct Quad mixes from 1974, three tracks from 2012 mixed to 5.1 and the entire album in the brand new Dolby Atmos mix. In addition, the box comes with a 60-page book, which consists of new liner notes by Kory Grow (Rolling Stone) as well as rare photos and graphics.
