Hawklords - Live At Kozfest 2022
Label: - LORDS1122 - 5052571200124
Format: CD, Album
Country: UK
Released: 25th Nov 2022
Genre: Psychedelic
Style: Psychedelic
Description
A sold-out crowd packed the Daevid Allen Kozmik Stage to thrill to a set that included the title track of the band's 2012 recording debut, We Are One, and a heartfelt version of Ghost In My Machine from the 2017 SIX album, alongside Devil In Your Head from 2018's Brave New World, plus a twisted performance of One Way Trip from 2019's Heaven's Gate, and a rocking version of fans' favourite, SR-71, from the Fusion album of 2016.
Also included in this set of blistering performances were three songs from 2021's Time album: set opener, Speed of Sound; pop classic, Turn You On; and the dark-edged poem of the metaphysical, Obscura.
And the set would not have been complete without a grinding rendition of Robert Calvert's AI-inspired masterpiece, Robot, alongside Nik Turner's space-rock classic Master of the Universe, the latter featuring a guest appearance on rhythm and lead guitar from Kozfest organiser and long-time friend of the band, Paul Woodwright. The assembled crowd sang every word and danced like dervishes throughout the show.
