Inspired by John Willie’s notorious S&M comic strip, the movie blends action, fantasy, and eroticism, with a visual style reminiscent of pulp comics and old-fashioned adventure serials. Its campy tone, exotic settings, and daring costumes made it a cult classic. The soundtrack, highlighted by “Willard’s Theme,” is a dreamy fusion of synthesizers, baroque influences, and 80s flair, blending traditional orchestral elements with contemporary electronic sounds. To honor Pierre Bachelet’s legacy 20 years after his passing, this special edition presents the original LP program, previously released by RCA, remastered from Sony Music’s pristine stereo master tapes.
